The Problem That Won’t Go Away

Despite efforts from female founders, venture capitalists and diversity advocates in Silicon Valley and beyond, women still only receive less than 3% of VC funding, a number that has not improved in almost a decade. Women in Tech is one of the players looking to close the gender gap in startup funding.

“If the tech sector wants to truly innovate, then investors will need to be more intentional about diversifying their portfolios and be more inclusive. It's time to tackle the gap in venture capital funding head on." - Allyson Kapin, founder of Women Who Tech

One Step Forward

Over 750 women-led startups from across North America applied to the Women Who Tech Startup Grants Program. Five startups were selected by the jury and grants committee to participate in Women Who Tech's virtual pitch coaching and pitch series. Heugenis was one of them, selected by a jury of leading investors from Silicon valley to New York, including Obvious Ventures, BBG Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Box Group, Next 47, and 645 Ventures.

Great Things

Feedback from the Jury regarding Hypersence included the following comments:

“Very excited by the market opportunity and solution that you've developed.”

Greater Things

Even bigger things are happening for Hypersence behind the scenes and we can’t wait to tell you about them. For now, we’re excited to be earning the recognition and validation of our mission to bring hope to 46M desperate Alzheimer’s sufferers, which our team has been pursuing with passion, integrity and technology for over two years.
